Designed Together

Most studios fragment design: architecture, then interiors, then furniture. Three separate decisions. Three points of compromise.

Whether it's a restaurant, a retail flagship, an office, or a home — the problem is the same. We design them together. One concept, three scales. Same materials, proportions, and intention across all three.

The result: fewer revisions during construction, clearer design intent for contractors, and spaces that feel intentional—not accumulated.

    Architecture

    The spatial framework that determines everything else. Flow, atmosphere, proportion, light. We design it first so nothing downstream has to compensate.

    Interiors

    Materials, lighting, and detail are how people feel a space before they understand it. We develop every interior decision in relation to the architecture, not after it.

Before founding Studio Bucky, Alexander was Director at Snarkitecture — where he led KITH Tokyo, KITH Paris, Sadelles Paris, and the Museum of the Future Dubai.

Those projects confirmed something: the best spaces — restaurants, retail, offices, homes — are designed as a single idea. Not assembled from separate decisions.

He founded Studio Bucky to build that way. Every project, every scale, every time.

The studio works across hospitality, retail, workplace, and residential. Every project is led directly by Alexander.

How we work

  • Every project begins with a central idea.
    We define the spatial narrative, program, atmosphere, and material direction before drawing begins.

    This phase includes:

    • Site and context study

    • Spatial strategy and planning

    • Mood, material, and tonal direction

    • Early sketches and spatial testing

    The goal is clarity.
    Without a strong concept, nothing else holds.

  • The idea is refined through proportion, material logic, and construction thinking.

    We develop:

    • Detailed drawings and technical coordination

    • Custom joinery and built elements

    • Material specifications

    • Collaboration with engineers and fabricators

    Detail protects the integrity of the concept.

  • We remain involved through fabrication and on-site execution, ensuring the built result matches the original intent.

    This includes:

    • Contractor coordination

    • Shop drawing review

    • Site visits and oversight

    • Final installation and finishing

    The work is not complete until it is built properly.

Every project is directed by Alexander Buckeridge from first sketch to final installation. No junior teams, no handoffs. One vision, full accountability.
